Death of Hundred of Birds at Hegue ,5G Begining of high speed era or threat to Environment

Every year data usage has shown a great surge. Man is so desperate to do things that he don’t want to wait for a single second for anything .When it comes to the data speed heavy data usage has increased the need of high speed data transfer. Also risk has increased for increase of Electromagnetic radiation.

To meet the requirement of high speed data transfer new technologies are being invented and being implemented. 3G and 4G is already being used to provide high speed of data , work on 5G is still going on ,but something alarming has been reported about 5G.

Death of Birds during 5G Testing in Hegue

Recently news is published  in various websites and newspapers about death of hundreds of Birds during 5G tests in the Hegue.

  several incidences were observed about death of birds and crazy behaviour shown by cows after testing of 5G , raising alarms about negative effects of 5G.

 Changing Mobile Technologies and Effects

Common man has nothing to do what technology is used in providing telecom services by the telecom operators but there must be basic knowledge about what is happening around which is not visible but  still affects him. To know this let  us get a rough idea about various telecom technologies used for providing high speed of data :

3G

3G was launched with the motive of increasing data transfer rates and improve quality of service .Due to high data transfer needs frequency bands used by mobile towers in 1800 MHz(1.8GHz) and 2100(2.1Ghz) Mhz bands . Higher frequency bands are required to increase data speeds. Thus with the increase in frequency data speeds increased but coverage of towers reduced(wavelenth reduced with increasing frequency) forcing operators to install new towers . 3G is able to provide upto 20 Mbps of data speed.

4 G

With the globalization and digitization in every part of the world, considerabe surge is observed in the data transfer needs. Thus 4G is launched to provide high speed of data transfer. While 4G , boasts of providing data speeds upto 300 Mbps. Telecom operators are finding it hard  to provide even 100 Mbps with the existing Infra .Frequency bands of 2300 Mhz and 2600Mhz found suitable to provide high speed of data but required high number of towers due to less coverage at higher frequencies. In India Most of the operators are providing 4G services in 2100 Mhz, 1800 Mhz band while RJIO is also using 900 Mhz bands. To reduce capital expenditure to increase number of towers, operators has to compromise with the data speeds .

  

5G

5G is still in the testing phase. Few countries are ready to launch 5G services in near future. One such testing is going on at Hague.

 5G is said to be capable of providing 1000 times high speed of data compared to 4G ,in the range of 1Gpps to 100Gbps.

Basic difference is the frequency used for 5G . To provide high speed of data 5G is required to be launched on very high frequencies 20 Ghz-50 Ghz. Thus due to use of  high frequency, 5G towers can cover very small area and thus number of tower required is very high compared to 4G. It is said that these towers will be situated like street lights in the city . Such towers will provide very high speed of data with very low latency.

Thus increased number of towers will certainly increase level of Electromagnetic radiation .

Already alarm has been raised during 5G test in Hegue by death of animals.John Kuhles said about these deaths of birds in Hegue:
